Join us for a magical bioluminescence tour!

Interact with nature, learn about marine life and experience this naturally occurring phenomenon. Stay on the boat to view the bioluminescence or enter the shallow water of the bay wearing a snorkel mask and required flotation device for a truly unique experience. Tours are conducted a minimum of four evenings a week, leaving from the Cayman Island Yacht Club Slip B43; conveniently located on Seven Mile Beach. Enjoy a beautiful Cayman Island sunset as we cross the North Sound in our 40’ x 14’ pontoon boat to Starfish Point, where the Red Cushion Sea Star thrives. Bring food and drink for a beach picnic at this enchanting location, should you desire. Next we head into the bioluminescent bay just minutes away. In the bay you will encounter the dinoflagellates that emit a glowing luminescence when disturbed.

The Tour

In addition to our regular tour nights four times a week, private and custom tours are available upon request. Call for details. Although our boat is spacious, we limit guest numbers to enhance the experience, so book early to insure your spot. We are fortunate in that our boat offers a perfect viewing area between pontoons to see the bioluminescence even on the brightest of nights. The tour lasts approximately 3.5 hours and includes a stop at the serene and unspoiled Starfish Point. Although the bioluminescent bay is the highlight of the trip, guests also enjoy the stupendous star gazing in the night sky on the calm ride back to the yacht club.

Included

We have all the equipment you need for an enjoyable tour. Snorkel masks, life vests and Lycra skins for entering the water. Coolers and ice and to keep your food and drinks frosty. Complimentary ice water to quench your thirst. A freshwater rinse post swimming. An onboard head, (bathroom) and insect repellent for those pesky mosquitoes. (seasonally) Just wear your swimsuit and bring a towel. Guests are welcome to bring any food and drink or snacks on board as there are no stores and restaurants where we are going.
